Before you ask
Common questions
Who can enquire about joining?
Adult men of good character are welcome to enquire. The Lodge will explain the eligibility requirements and process fully and confidentially.
Do I need to be invited?
No. You can approach the Lodge yourself. In fact, taking the initiative is a perfectly normal way to begin.
Will I be told what membership costs?
Yes. Fees and any other expected costs should be explained before you make a commitment.
Will joining affect my religion or politics?
Freemasonry is neither a religion nor a political organisation. Sectarian religious debate and party politics are not part of Lodge meetings.
Can I visit before deciding?
You can attend a public event or arrange an informal meeting. Private Lodge meetings are for members and approved visitors.
