Effective date: 23 July 2026. These terms apply to ticket bookings made through this website.
1. Who we are
Tickets are sold by The Ancient Masonic Lodge of Dundee No. 49, trading for event purposes as Lodge Ancient No. 49 (“the Lodge”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Our contact details appear above and on our Contact Details page.
2. Booking and contract formation
You must provide accurate booking information and be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a responsible adult, to place a booking. A booking is not confirmed until we issue a booking confirmation. For online card payments, confirmation is subject to Dojo reporting the payment as successfully completed.
We may refuse or cancel a booking where payment is not completed, the event has reached capacity, the booking information is materially inaccurate, fraud is suspected, or the booking breaches these terms. Where we cancel a fully paid booking for reasons not caused by the customer, the Refund Policy will apply.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling and include any charges stated at checkout. Card payments are processed securely by Dojo, a trading name of Paymentsense Limited. The Lodge does not receive or store your full card number, expiry date or security code.
Where bank transfer or Pay at the Door is offered, a booking may remain marked as unpaid until the Lodge confirms receipt. For Pay at the Door bookings, no online payment is taken and payment is due at the Lodge on arrival before admission.
Pay at the Door reservations count towards event capacity. If you know that you can no longer attend, please contact the Lodge promptly so the reserved places can be released. The Lodge may cancel duplicate, fraudulent or abusive unpaid reservations, or reservations where reasonable attempts to verify materially incomplete booking details are unsuccessful.
4. Tickets and admission
Your QR code, booking reference or other ticket evidence must be presented on arrival. Tickets are valid only for the event, date and booking stated. Duplicate, altered or fraudulently obtained tickets may be rejected.
Unless the event information says otherwise, tickets do not include reserved seating. The Lodge may make reasonable changes to seating, running order or event arrangements where necessary.
5. Team names and uploaded logos
Where the booking form permits a team name or team-logo upload, you confirm that you have the right to use the submitted name and image. You must not upload content that is unlawful, discriminatory, threatening, obscene, defamatory, misleading or that infringes another person’s rights.
You grant the Lodge a limited permission to reproduce the submitted team name and logo for administering the event, displaying the ticket and related event materials. The Lodge may remove or decline unsuitable content.
6. Customer cancellation and refunds
Refunds and customer cancellation requests are governed by our clearly labelled Refund Policy. For events scheduled for a specific date, there is generally no automatic 14-day cooling-off right. Requests made because a customer can no longer attend are considered by the Lodge Committee at its discretion, subject always to applicable consumer law and the customer’s statutory rights.
7. Event cancellation, rescheduling or material changes
If the Lodge cancels an event, paid customers will be offered a full refund. If an event is rescheduled or materially changed, we will offer a reasonable option to transfer the ticket or request a refund, as explained in the Refund Policy.
We are not responsible for reasonable changes that do not materially alter the overall nature of the event, such as changes to the running order, quiz rounds, hosts, performers, refreshments or room layout.
8. Conduct and right of admission
Customers and guests must behave responsibly, comply with lawful instructions from Lodge staff or organisers, and respect the venue, other guests and applicable licensing rules. The Lodge may refuse admission or require a person to leave for threatening, abusive, discriminatory, intoxicated, unsafe or seriously disruptive behaviour. No refund is due where removal or refusal results from the customer’s own serious misconduct.
9. Personal information
We use personal information to process bookings, take payment, issue tickets, communicate event information, manage admission and meet legal obligations. Further details are set out in our Privacy Policy.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or a customer’s statutory rights. Subject to that, the Lodge is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the booking was made or for personal belongings brought to the venue.
11. Changes to these terms
The version displayed when you place your booking applies to that booking. We may update these terms for future bookings. Material changes will not retrospectively reduce rights already acquired under a confirmed booking.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Consumers may bring proceedings in any court that has jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.
13. Contact
Questions about a booking or these terms should be sent to info@lodgeancient49.co.uk. Please include the booking reference where available.
